Guest Blogger!

This first adventure is by a guestblogger by the name of Erin Chavez. You can find her blog here: Happilyeverafter622

She did the great honor of sending me her trial with a recipe. Here is what shesaid:

What I really lovedabout this Dole Whip recipe that is had very few ingredients, so it was budgetfriendly!
I made the dole whip, whichapproximately from start to finish including freezer time, took me about 3hrs.It was quite simple!

All you need is:
•2-20oz cans of crushed Pinneaple, Iused Dole of course to be more authentic but any canned Pinneaple would workfine (*saving 2 Tbs of juice!*)
•2 Tbs of Lime & Lemon juice
•1/3 Cup of Sugar
•1 1/2 Cup heavy whippingcream

Now you begin, in a blender putcrushed Pinneaple, the juice, lime & lemon juice, and sugar. Blend untilsmooth. It took me about 5mins on high to get it smooth. Also you will need tostop and scrap the side every once and awhile. Then pour the mixture into 2quart size freezer ziploc bags. Lay flat in your freezer for 1 1/2 hours oruntil slushy. Right before you take your mixture from the freezer whip thewhipping cream until desired texture, then stir in the pineapple mixture untilsmooth and then return to the freezer for another 1hr.    Then enjoy!

Well when I made it I waited 4 hoursto eat it because I wanted it after our dinner. The texture to the dole whipwas sort of different, But I quite enjoyed it, it had an icy consistency. Maybeif I had ate it in after that hour the texture may have been different, thoughI did find that if I let it soften And melt slightly the texture changed to asmoother consistency, but either way it was tasty!! I would definitely make itagain in the future. :)

Cracking the secret

If youre here that means you love Dole Whip. If you are here and you dont know what a dole whip is, then Im sorry to say you are missing out! Well still go over the basics of a dole whip and when and where to find one and best of all how to make one at home! Dole Whip is defined as a soft serve pineapple treat. The float is the same except served on top of pineappl juice. Either way absolutely divine! You can find in them in Disneyland at the Dole juice stand just right infront of Adventureland. In Florida they can be found at the Magic Kingdom, and a couple of other random places in the park I will have to look up later. This blog will be dedicated to finding the perfect recipe.
